Downtime killer

I've been an avid kindle user for more than a decade and for the past couple of years, have always brought a spare one whenever I was faced with lengthy waits. But even the base kindle takes up a fair bit of space in my everyday carry, so the X4 promised to be an easier solution. Stick it to the back of my phone and just take it everywhere the phone goes. It doesn't quite work like that -- it sticks out a tiny bit. But it works well enough that I don't have to make a conscious effort to bring it. At first I was hesitant to break out of the kindle ecosystem, but after using the X4 extensively for a few months, and Amazon's decision to pull the plug on older devices, I don't regret it. I'll still have my kindles for more comfortable reading at home.
