Reddit, late 2025. Someone mentioned an easy $50 purchase and linked the X4. Me and my partner had been looking for a new ereader and I was looking for something to hack on, it was perfect. We got the gray version but it was soon commandeered for reading only so I swiftly ordered a black one!
How I use it
I read a few long form articles each day, a phone is always too distracting for this. I used to print my articles (physical paper!!) but the X4 is perfect for this, no more wasting trees.
What I love
Lightweight, customizable, battery lasts weeks.
What I'd change
A little more rugged wouldn't hurt, cases solve this issue for the most part...
Tip for new members
